The Big “M”
Hi everyone! Sorry I have not updated this website for a while!
I have a funny story for you! A little while ago, the family and I went shopping. After a few hours, I needed to relieve myself. Most foreigners in Japan know that McDonald’s has western style toilets. The eastern style is, more or less, a hole in the floor with plumbing.
So, I said to the family, “I need to go to McDonald’s.” After explaining the benefits, the family understood why I needed to walk across the street while they shopped. Later, Akane said to me, “That big sign, the M is not really an M, but a big American butt!”
Some golden arches are bigger than others. My big American butt will be parked very near a McDonald’s my entire time in Japan, should I muster the cash to visit…that’s assuming Kurt and Akane’s cool electric western toilet with the radio/TV/DVD/internet/microwave/minibar/mini-fridge has not been installed yet. Otherwise, I guess I’ll have to wear Depends…

How funny. Now that I think about it, I realize the correlation between my butt size and how frequently I visit the Golden Arches.
I know there were several times I wish there was a McDonald’s toilet while I was out and about in Japan. Unfortunately, where I was at, there wasn’t. Let’s just say that my first experience with a “squatter” was wet and dirty!
